Öznur, who defeated her opponent 144-141, became the Paralympic Games champion. Thus, Turkey won the gold medal in para archery after 16 years.

After my world and European championships, I wanted the Paralympic Games championship very much. It was my biggest dream to have these 3 big titles and I realized it. We worked hard as a whole team. There is a huge dedication in the background. I broke the world record in qualifying throws and finally became the Paralympic Games champion. This was definitely my dream and it came true.”
Öznur Cüre Girdi, who brought Turkey a gold medal in para archery in Paris 2024 after 16 years, had previously won a silver medal in Tokyo 2020 with Bülent Korkmaz in the mixed doubles of the compound bow.
