One-day workshop was held on 3rd December 2010 with 16 participants from 9 universities in Turkey in ITU Women’s Studies Centre in Science, Engineering and Technology. The aim of the project is to enhance gender data in science, engineering and technology areas with knowledge of the career experiences of female academics. Establishment of women academics’ network in basic science, engineering technology areas, and development of a database in Turkey are also targets in this project. This project aims to ensure equality between men and women academics, place gender equality between the basic policies of the university and development of awareness and presence of co-operation between universities.
