Within the scope of the ITU Dean of Students Office’s DAN 102 Entrepreneurship and Career
Counseling course, a seminar titled Prevention of Discrimination and Process
Management at ITU was held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
The seminar was organized by the ITU Women's Studies Center in Science, Engineering and Technology
(BMT KAUM) within the scope of the Ministry of Interior's 2025 Year of the Family action plan, with the aim
of creating an environment where every individual has equal rights and discrimination is prevented.
The Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and ITU’s internal support units (Legal Unit,
CTOK Commission, and ITU Guidance and Psychological Counseling Center) contributed to the event.
The seminar focused on raising awareness about discrimination situations that may be encountered in the university environment,
explaining the procedures to be followed in seeking rights, and introducing support services.
The event was held online on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 15:30 and was followed with interest by a wide audience.
