🌍 Women and girls advancing in the light of science continue to transform our
world in every field of science, engineering, and technology from past to present.
Declared by the United Nations in 2015, February 11 International Day of Women
and Girls in Science is an important day to support gender equality in science
and to make the contributions of women and girls to scientific progress visible.
👩🔬 As the ITU Women's Studies Center in Science, Engineering and Technology
(ITU BMT-KAUM), we continue to work to increase the empowerment, equal opportunity,
and visibility of women in the world of science and technology. We emphasize the
critical role of women in knowledge production and aim to inspire young girls
to encourage them in the fields of science and engineering.
On this meaningful day, we celebrate all women scientists who never give up on
exploring and girls who are on the path to becoming scientists! Let's grow the
power of women in science together to shape the future together!
