Within the scope of the joint protocol between ITU BMT-KAUM and ITO KGK, the closing event of the Career Development and Entrepreneurship Program carried out by our Center between 17 February and 2 April 2026 was hosted by the Information Commercialization Center (BTM). The activities organized during the program, which aimed to develop students' knowledge and skills regarding the entrepreneurship ecosystem, were completed with intense participation and high interaction on the closing day.
The event was attended by BTM Deputy General Manager Dr. It started with the opening speeches of Ebru Çetinkaya and TOBB HRCC President Hatice Güner Kal. In the opening speeches; The development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, the importance of supporting young entrepreneurs and the critical role of collaborations between the business world and academia were emphasized.
The "Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Panel" held after the opening was moderated by BTM Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Specialist Ayşe Nur İspir Sezgin. Easyapp.ai founder and CEO Enes Zahid Urhan and Investor Processes Consultant Derin Keskin took part in the panel as speakers. Within the scope of the panel; The entrepreneurial journey, investment processes and opportunities and challenges encountered in the ecosystem were shared comprehensively.
In the first part of the closing event, students had the opportunity to receive feedback on their projects and develop their professional networks by having one-on-one meetings with experienced entrepreneurs and investors. These interactions with experts from different sectors made significant contributions to the participants' entrepreneurship processes.
In the second part of the event, students participating in the program presented their entrepreneurial ideas and shared their innovative approaches and potential with the participants. In presentations; Creative solutions, sustainability-oriented perspectives and original ideas came to the fore and were followed with interest by the participants.
While a certificate of participation was presented to each student at the end of the presentations, Çağla Nur Sorkun (Management Engineering, 4th grade), Elif Tuba Yenitepe (Chemistry, 3rd grade) and Sema Taranacı (Molecular Biology and Molecular Biology) were among the students who were ranked as a result of the jury evaluation.
